Return of the ducks

After taking a year off last year we have decided in our 90^thyear to take on the Pendleside Hospice Corporate Challenge.

The challenge sees businesses competed to raise money for Pendleside Hospice after an initial £50 given to them by the hospice. Its then up to the companies involved to turn that into as much money as possible in a four month period (1st June-30th September).
As well as 2018 being our 90^th year the Hospice is also celebrating 30 years so it really is a mile stone for us all.

We were delighted to win 3 awards the last time we entered and whilst the most important thing is the taking part as well as money that’s raised, it’s always nice to win something too, so we’re hoping to match our success this time round.

We’ve made a good start to our fund raising efforts raising £1200 at our now infamous cake stall on the Pendle Pub Walk and after the success of our little yellow ducks last time round we decided we couldn’t leave them out this time. People can purchase a duck from any of the Petty offices. Then we want you to take the ducks with you where ever they go over the coming months and to send the pictures back to Petty. We’ve already had ducks at an Ed Sheeran concert in Scotland, a sailing school in Abersoch , Teneriffe and Bali. Where can you get them to?

We are also hosting a Charity Evening at The Fence Gate on Friday 28^thSeptember and would love to see you there. We’ve a spectacular magician Andrew Tunney and amazing local singer Wayne Farrow to entertain us and with some great raffle prizes too it’s all set to be a great night.
